Making a difference in our community and around the world

February 27, 2025 "A Night With The Eagles" Banquet

Each year, Georgia Southern hosts a special banquet to celebrate the ministry, honor our partners, and reflect on how God has moved throughout the year. It’s a wonderful opportunity to hear firsthand from coaches and athletes, connect with the community, and enjoy a meal together. The evening will wrap up with laughter as comedian Ken Kington takes the stage. Don’t miss out on this night of celebration and fun— Seating is limited — RSVP today!

Caribbean Partnership

We are excited to announce our new partnership with a country in the Caribbean! We will visit this country twice a year — once during spring break and another with AIA baseball. Through this partnership, we will help their AIA grow and develop, build relationships with the people there, throw fiestas, put on athletic clinics, provide filters for clean drinking water, and more!

Ultimate Training Camp (UTC)

Ultimate Training Camp is a weeklong summer experience designed for collegiate athletes to discover the Gospel and learn how to glorify God in every aspect of life, including sports. Athletes dive into five key Gospel principles and then put their faith to the test during the 20-hour challenge, The S.P.E.C.I.A.L.! Recently, Georgia Southern has become known for sending some of the largest groups of athletes and interns to this transformative camp. Many participants return with a renewed sense of freedom and purpose, ready to boldly live out their faith in the upcoming season.

Women's Nights

Recognizing the need for stronger community among women in athletics at Georgia Southern, our two women’s staff members created an event initially designed for female athletes. It has since expanded to welcome all women involved in athletics at GS! Held in the comfort of their homes, these gatherings focus on food, fellowship, and encouragement. The goal is to provide student-athletes with female role models, particularly for those who only have male coaches. It’s been incredible to see the community deepen and strengthen through these events.

Outreach

To give back to the Statesboro community, we’ve partnered with Fletcher Memorial Baptist Church and the Georgia Southern Men’s and Women’s basketball teams. Together, we’ve hosted two impactful outreaches. At our first event, AIA donated sports equipment to a local kids’ club and spent two hours playing with the children before splitting into boys’ and girls’ groups to share the Gospel. Our second outreach, led by the basketball teams and Fletcher Memorial, featured a basketball clinic for kids, with volunteers serving hotdogs for everyone. We’re excited for future events and the continued opportunity to serve the community!

End of Semester Celebrations

At the end of each semester, we celebrate with athletes and staff by hosting a party at the home of a partner or athletic staff member. It’s a time of fellowship, delicious food, and sometimes even witnessing new believers’ baptisms in a backyard pool! We also take a moment to honor our seniors, sending them off with encouragement as they transition from Georgia Southern to the next chapter of their lives.

Game Nights

Game nights offer a great opportunity for all athletes to connect, have fun, and engage in friendly competition! We kicked off our first event with an exciting spikeball tournament. The goal of these nights is to build bridges between teammates and discipleship groups, helping people get involved in the community, enjoy themselves, and learn more about AIA.
